Early Life: A Dream Born from Determination
As a child, Mohit was captivated by colors long before he understood the language of fine art. Growing up in a middle-class family, art supplies were considered a luxury rather than a necessity.
One simple decision changed everything.
Choosing Art Over Comfort
Instead of spending his daily bus fare, Mohit chose to walk to school. Day after day, he saved a single rupee until he had enough to buy sketchbooks, colors, brushes, and occasionally music cassettes that inspired his imagination. Those quiet walks became the first investment in a lifelong artistic journey.
Like many Indian parents of that generation, his father encouraged him to pursue academics instead of art, often reminding him that painting and dancing could never become a profession. Yet passion has a remarkable ability to silence doubt. Mohit continued drawing whenever he found time, gradually discovering that creativity was not merely a hobby—it was his calling.
Education and Creative Foundation
Formal education strengthened that passion. He completed a Diploma in Drawing & Painting, earned a Master's degree in Drawing & Painting from Jiwaji University, and also trained in dance under the renowned Shiamak Davar Institute of Performing Arts. The combination of visual arts and performance helped shape his understanding of rhythm, balance, movement, and composition—qualities that continue to define his paintings today.

While most artists gravitate toward Krishna or Shiva, his decision to make Nandi the centerpiece of his work gives his art a refreshing, standout quality. In Hindu tradition, Nandi is much more than Lord Shiva's vehicle (vahana) and gatekeeper.
